Brooklyn? The $1 billion Barclays Center? A new beginning, so to speak?

That’s all well and good, Nets coach Avery Johnson said, but it’s going to take more than that to consistently fill the seats and make the team relevant again.

In the grand scheme of things, it’s about winning.

“It’s something we’ve been looking forward to,” Johnson said. “As much as we talk about the building, Barclays Center is going to be a state-of-the-art building and a great place to play. And we’re going to have to put a real good team on the floor.

“We think if we can get healthy, get point guard Deron [Williams] re-signed and add some veterans to our team and our young guys grow up a bit, hopefully, I don’t think any team, I’ll speak for us, hopefully we’ll never be injured like this again.

“It’s not just about the building or the city we’re going to, we gotta put a really good product on the floor.”

The Nets came into Monday night’s game against the Heat having lost 223 manpower games to injury and starting 22 different lineups, according to the media notes. Williams and small Gerald Wallace are both out, so those numbers are both going to increase Monday.
