WHAT IT MEANS: DERON-SANITY! Nets point guard Deron Williams had 18 of his season-high 38 points in the third quarter, hit a career-high eight 3-pointers -- the Nets hit 15 as a team -- and New Jersey (10-24) snapped a five-game losing streak against the Knicks on Monday night at the Garden. MarShon Brooks added 18 points, while DeShawn Stevenson had 14.

TURNING POINT: D-Will scored 12 straight points late in the third quarter, helping push the Nets' lead to 18 heading into the final period.

WE ARE ALL D-WILLNESSES: Williams shot 10-for-22 from the field, 8-for-14 from 3-point range and 10-for-12 from the free-throw stripe. He added six assists and four rebounds. He picked up his fifth foul with 7:52 left in the fourth quarter and fouled out with 3:07 remaining. The Nets showed resolve, though, and battled their way to their best victory of the season.

BOO THAT MAN: Kris Humphries heard the boos from the Garden crowd -- again. But Hump shook it off and had 14 points and 14 rebounds. He had a big bucket in the fourth to stop a massive offensive drought.

GETTING IT TOGETHER: After missing nine of their first 10 shots to start the game, the Nets turned it around, outscoring the Knicks 64-43 in the second and third quarter combined.

UP NEXT: Nets vs. Dwight Howard and the Magic, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
