LOS ANGELES -- New York Rangers goaltender Cam Talbot will be unavailable to back up starter Henrik Lundqvist in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals.

The 26-year-old netminder is out with an undisclosed injury that coach Alain Vigneault has deemed "day-to-day."

It is not immediately clear when Talbot sustained the injury, and when pressed further on the issue, Vigneault declined to elaborate.

In Talbot's absence, 31-year-old journeyman David LeNeveu will back up Lundqvist tonight.
