With more than a foot of new snow on the ground in some areas of New York -- we got about 14 inches in Oyster Bay --it may not seem like it but baseball is a mere 45 days away. Today, Major League Baseball released its spring training schedule and the Yankees first spring training game is February 26 against the Phillies, the new home of Cliff Lee, in Tampa at The George. Other highlights: Yankees host the Red Sox March 4 and the Rays on March 17, which happens to be St. Patrick's Day. No Yankees-Mets game this spring; you'll have to wait until May 20 for that. But the rematch with the Texas Rangers is right around the corner: Three-game set begins April 15 in the Bronx.
