Here is the release:

Prior to today’s game, the Yankees optioned RHP Hector Noesi to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The team also assigned RHP Adam Warren, RHP David Phelps, RHP Brian Anderson, RHP Buddy Carlyle and LHP Andy Sisco to Minor League camp.

Major League camp now stands at 58 players: 26 pitchers, eight catchers, 13 infielders and 11 outfielders.

Here is my reaction:
Noesi was thought by some to have an outside chance at the fifth starter spot so that is not a good sign. He was late to camp too. Two strikes for him.

He still could one day make an impact, but in a camp where there was thought he could take steps forward he went the other way.
