Pedro Feliciano, who seemed to pitch every day as a Met, hasn't pitched in 9 days and this morning, Joe Girardi, under questioning, acknowledged the ne3wly-acquired lefty was "a little sore,'' indicating the area of the left triceps. "He’s getting a little extra rest here,'' Girardi said. "He’ll do a bullpen tomorrow. Guys go through this dead arm in spring training and you can either attack it two ways, you can keep him pitching or, like (Boone Logan), you can give him some time off and it worked out pretty good.''

Except for one minor detail: Logan, who pitched an inning against the Rays Thursday night, showed up today with back spasms, an injury that Girardi expected would keep him idle for 4-5 days.

On the bright side, Joba Chamberlain, idled by an oblique strain, will throw a bullpen tomorrow, and Sergio Mitre, out with a similar injury, will follow A.J. Burnett to the bump today.
