A-Rod in 11th place on all-time RBI list

Alex Rodriguez's three-run homer to right field in the bottom of the first inning moved him into a three-way tie for 11th place on baseball's all-time RBI list.

Rodriguez has 1,839 career RBI and is tied with Al Simmons and Ted Williams. Next on the list is Carl Yastremski, who is in 10th place with 1,844.

Rodriguez started the night tied with former teammate Ken Griffey Jr. for 13th place on the all-time list.

A-Rod hammered Chris Tillman's 2-0 fastball into the right field seats for his fourth home run of the season. It was his 617th career home run. He needs 13 homers to tie Griffey Jr. for fifth place on the all-time list.

With the home run, Rodriguez increased his average to .345. He has four homers and eight RBI on the season.
