Freddy Garcia's scoreless streak as a starter is over.
Garcia got banged around by the Blue Jays on Friday night to the tune of seven hits and three earned runs in five innings, striking out six.
He was relieved by David Robertson in the top of the sixth.
Garcia allowed a two-run shot to the second deck in left in the top of the third to Jose Bautista. He then gave up a solo shot to left to J.P. Arencibia to lead off the fourth.
The 34-year-old righty got into more trouble in the fourth, when he walked two and gave up two hits. He got out of it by freezing Juan Rivera with an 89 mph fastball on the outside corner with a called third strike.
He came into Friday’s start having pitched 12 scoreless innings in two starts with the Yankees.
