While the sun shined bright for almost all of Saturday’s game, Yankees center fielder Curtis Granderson didn’t blame the sun for why he misplayed Rajai Davis’ leadoff triple in the Yankees 5-4 win against the Blue Jays.

Said Granderson: “He just hit it harder than I thought he did.”

To lead off the game, Davis hit a smash to center field that went past Granderson, turning what seemed like a catchable fly ball into an extra-base hit that led to the Blue Jays first run of the game. Granderson admitted the sun was tough to deal with until about the seventh or eighth inning.
