Pre-game notes: Francisco Cervelli gets his second start since returning from the DL, and Joe Girardi said he will probably start one of the three games in Texas this weekend. Otherwise, standard-issue Yankee lineup vs. RHP . . . Freddy Garcia is 18-7 with a 3.84 ERA lifetime vs. the Tigers and 8-3, 3.43 as a visiting pitcher in Comerica Park. The one hitter in the Tigers lineup he needs to beware of is-- surprise, surprise -- Miguel Cabrera who is 8-for-20 vs. Garcia with three home runs . . . Max Scherzer has never lost to the Yankees (2-0, 4.91 ERA) including the victory on April 3 at Yankee Stadium (5IP, 9H, 6ER). . . . Victor Martinez returns to the Tigers lineup for the first time since going on the DL April 19 with a groin injury . . . Tigers manager Jim Leyland dropped the struggling Magglio Ordonez (.169, 0HR, 2RBI) from third to sixth in his lineup tonight.
