Russell Martin’s helped A.J. Burnett a lot behind the plate this season.

On Saturday, he helped him out at the plate.

Martin drilled a 77 mph Chris Capuano changeup into the left-field seats to tie Saturday’s Subway Series matchup at 2-2.

Martin’s blast - which drove in Alex Rodriguez - also got Burnett temporarily off the hook.

Burnett allowed two runs on three hits in the first inning, allowing the first three Mets to reach base. Justin Turner had an RBI single – the seventh-straight game he’s driven in a run – and Jason Bay added a sacrifice fly.

For Martin, the second-inning shot his eighth of the season. He’s hit eight in just 127 at-bats after hitting five in 331 ABs last season.
