RHP Carlos Silva, signed to a minor-league deal by the Yankees in April after being released by the Cubs following a tumultuous spring, pitched his first strong outing for AAA Scranton last night, working seven scoreless innings (4H, 2BB, 3Ks) to beat the Louisville Bats, 5-0, in Louisville. Silva, 32, went 10-6 with a 4.22 ERA for the Cubs in 2010.
