On ESPN New York 1050's Michael Kay Show, Yankees GM Brian Cashman said the team is "leaning toward [David] Phelps" for Thursday's start.

Cashman went on to say that Phelps is likely the pitcher to be called up, but they still could start Hector Noesi and have Phelps come out of the pen.

Phelps is 4-4 with a 2.95 ERA at Triple-A Scranton. He was held out of his start on Sunday in anticipation he might get the call Thursday.
