The Yankees announced they have signed Dante Bichette Jr., their No. 1 pick (51st overall) in the 2011 draft and have assigned him to the Gulf Coast League Yankees, who begin their season Monday in Tampa. The 6-1, 215-pound third baseman is the son of former major leaguer Dante Bichette.
