Yanks break up no-hit bid in big way

The Yankees broke up Juan Nicasio’s no-hitter with one out in the fifth. They then broke up his shut-out bid shortly thereafter.

Robinson Cano broke up Nicasio’s no-hitter with a one-out single in the fifth. Nick Swisher, the next hitter, took Nicasio deep into the right-field seats for his ninth homer. Jorge Posada made it back-to-back homers when he drilled Nicasio’s 1-2 pitch into the bullpen in right-center field. It was his eighth homer.

It was also the third time this season the Yankees have hit back-to-back home runs.
