Derek Jeter is used to fans clamoring for his autograph.
And Saturday night in Trenton was no exception.
Prior to his first rehab appearance for the Double-A Thunder, Jeter signed autographs for fanatics for about 15 minutes.
Luckily, at least to our knowledge, there were no injuries.
A couple security guards and police officers surrounding Jeter are to thank.
Here's a sample of the dialogue on the field -- none from Jeter, who politely puts his John Hancock on anything and everything: from jerseys to bats to trading cards to tabloid backpages.
"Derek, we love you! ... "Jeter! Jeter!" ... "Derek, can you please sign my jersey?" ... "De-rek Je-ter! (clap clap clap clap clap) De-rek Je-ter! (clap clap clap clap)" "Don't push!" ... "Step back! Step back!"
