Derek Jeter, notoriously publicity-shy when it comes to his private life, is inviting HBO into his 30,000-plus square foot mansion in Tampa to film a one-hour documentary of his pursuit of 3,000 hits, entitled "Derek Jeter 3K,'' to air when -- or is it if? -- he achieves the milestone. According to an HBO spokesman, the cable TV network began filming Jeter's every move just before he went on the disabled list with a calf injury on June 14. Jeter granted them access not only to his home, but to his actress-girlfriend, Minka Kelly, who is interviewed in the special. The HBO camera crew is here in Cleveland following Jeter, who is still six hits shy of the exclusive 3,000 hit club. According to the spokesman, Jeter was not paid for his participation.
