Mark Teixeira's average is at .240.
"Before the break, I didn't feel good at all," said Teixeira, who went 1-for-5. "I think a little fatigue set in. Those three days really helped. Now, it is a matter of getting my timing back."
Teixeira has 25 homers and 66 RBIs. His on-base, because of his walks, was at a respectable .347.
"It has been one of the most satisfying and frustrating years for me," Teixeira said. "Home runs and RBI-wise, I feel great. I feel like I'm hitting the ball hard a lot, hitting a lot of home runs. That's what I do. I feel good when I hit those home runs. Those extra hits aren't coming. I've said it all along. I'm just hoping for those extra hits to come and they haven's so far."
