The stitches were removed from Alex Rodriguez' knee today in Miami, where he is beginning his rehabilitation from surgery performed on July 14 to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. Joe Girardi said A-Rod has been exercising in a pool but could offer no timetable for when he would go the Yankees minor-league complex for rehab. Rodriguez is expected to need 4-6 weeks of recovery time, putting his likely return to late August at best.
