Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira hit his 27th home run of the season to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead over the Mariners in the first inning Monday night. Teixeira is now tied with Curtis Granderson for the team lead in both home runs and RBIs with 74.

Teixeira had been without a home run since June 30 before smacking a grand slam Friday and with Monday's blast, he now has two in the last four days.
