(Updated) Jeter gets hit on hand, out of game

In the third, Jake Arrieta's 91-MPH fastball cracked Derek Jeter on the right hand.

Jeter winced in pain and bent over at the plate. Trainer Gene Monahan and manager Joe Girardi attended to Jeter. After a couple of minutes, it was decided that Jeter could stay in the game.

UPDATED:

The Yankees took Jeter out in the fourth inning. Matt Ehalt is working on a story. More later.
