As we reported on Saturday, the Yankees are leaning toward going with a six-man rotation for this week.

This would mean that Ivan Nova and Phil Hughes would both get one more start and it would allow Bartolo Colon an extra day of rest. Meanwhile, CC Sabathia will remain on regular rest.

So your expected pitching matchups in Chicago will be: Sabathia (15-5, 2.56 ERA) vs. Jake Peavy 4-4, 5.27 ERA; Tuesday, Phil Hughes (1-3, 8.24 ERA) vs. John Danks (4-8, 3.79 ERA); Wednesday, A.J. Burnett (8-9, 4.23) vs. Gavin Floyd (9-9, 3.96); Thursday, Ivan Nova (9-4, 4.01) vs. Phillip Humber (8-7, 3.44).

Then Colon, Garcia and Sabathia would start over the weekend.

After next weekend, they could pare back down to a five-man rotation, meaning Hughes or Nova would be out.
