Jeter passes Brock; Carew next

Derek Jeter's two hits -- a bunt single in the first and a line single to right in the second -- moved him ahead of Lou Brock into sole possession of 23rd place on the all-time hits list with 3,024.

Jeter needs another 20 hits to move up another notch, to 22nd, where Rod Carew resides at 3,053. The Yankees lead 6-1, on a three-run homer by Robinson Cano in the first and a two-run triple by Curtis Granderson in the second.
