Update: Jeter now tied for No. 21 on hits list

Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is now in sole possession of 22nd place on baseball's all-time hits list following a first-inning single against the A's Wednesday night. Jeter passed Hall-of-Famer Rod Carew with the 3,054 th hit of his career. He is now just one hit behind former Yankee Rickey Henderson for 21st place.

Update (8:04 p.m.): Jeter singled to drive in a run in the third and is now tied with Henderson for 21st all-time with 3,055 hits.
