New York Yankees
Derek Jeter is 3-for-5 through six innings on Thursday, bringing his average to an even .300.
That's an impressive benchmark for the Yankee captain, who was hitting a harmless .260 when he went on the disabled list on June 14.
He has hit .360 (64-for-178) since coming off of the disabled list on July 4. During that 43-game span, he has 13 extra base hits and 27 RBI.
In the 62 games before he went on the DL, Jeter had 10 extra-base hits and just 20 RBI.
He is also hitting .427 in August (through the sixth inning on Thursday). He has not hit above .390 in any calendar month since 2006.
