Is Teixeira hurt? (Updated: Yes, Bruised Knee)

Mark Teixeira, who writhed in pain after being hit square on the knee in the sixth, is out of the game in the bottom of the seventh.

Teixeira took a 74-MPH curveball from Alfredo Aceves right on the right knee. It was the 11th time this year Teixiera had been hit. He stayed in the for another inning, but left in the seventh.

11:03 p.m., UPDATED: The Yankees announced that Teixeria has a bruised right knee and is day-to-day.
