New York Yankees
With Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira both nursing nagging injuries on Friday, it was up to Robinson Cano to fill the void.
And fill, he did.
Cano hit a tie-breaking, two-out single in the fifth, driving in Derek Jeter to put the Yankees up 3-2.
It was Cano's 99th RBI of the season, the second-highest total of his career (he had 109 last year).
It was also his latest productive performance in the No. 4 hole.
This year, Cano is hitting .313 as a cleanup hitter, with four homers and 25 RBI in 32 games.
The Yankees second-baseman -- who served as designated hitter on Friday night -- is batting .370 in his last seven games with five doubles and six RBI.
