Pre-Game Notes: No need to worry about Derek Jeter, Curtis Granderson or Mark Teixeira; Joe Girardi said they're all fine, just wanted to give them a day off before the final 10-day, 11-game stretch, 10 of which come against the Rays and Red Sox . . . Girardi said Ivan Nova will start Tuesday against the Rays, and Phil Hughes, who suffered back spasms after throwing a bullpen on Friday, causing him to be scratched from his scheduled Monday start against Minnesota, will go in one of the doubleheader games on Wednesday. CC Sabathia will pitch the other . . . Bartolo Colon will go Thursday in the finale against the Rays. No rotation yet for the Red Sox series beginning Friday at the Stadium . . . Freddy Garcia is 7-7 lifetime against the Jays with a 6.10 ERA, and got shelled here on July 15 for 6 runs in 5 innings . . . Brandon Morrow is 3-2 with a 4.66 ERA lifetime vs. the Yankees and took the loss in a 3-2 Yankees win at the Stadium on Sept. 2.
