Sign-&-trade for Nakajima?

When the Yankees won the bidding for Japanese infielder Hiroyuki Nakajima, the feeling was that it might mean that Eduardo Nunez could be dealt. This would be a change of course for the Yankees and it doesn't appear that Nunez is going anywhere.

Who could be on the move? Nakajima. At least, that is what Fox Sports Ken Rosenthal is postulating.

It makes some sense because the Yankees were just looking to add depth to their infield when they won the posting of $2.5M for Nakajima. Their choice, if Nakajima is fine with being a backup, is basically having Nakajima and Nunez are their reserve infielders or having Eric Chavez and Nunez plus whatever they get for Nakajima in a deal.

It makes some sense if the Yanks can add a lefty reliever or something of value in a deal for Nakajima.

Nakajima was born on the trade deadline in 1982. So he is 29. He is said to have a great makeup combined with a good bat and suspect glove.
