In his State of the Yankees Address, Joe Girardi basically said that everything will be the same as last year. Or, in Girardi- speak, that is his expectation:

* Robinson Cano, after being moved to the third spot in the playoffs, will remain there.
* Alex Rodriguez will bat the cleanup hitter with Mark Teixeira likely batting fifth.
* Derek Jeter will leadoff.
* Rafael Soriano, in the seventh, and David Robertson, in the eighth, will be the bridge to Mariano Rivera.
* Francisco Cervelli will be the backup catcher.

If Eric Chavez signs, then you place Raul Ibanez in for Jorge Posada and you have the same offensive look as the end of last year.
