Joe Girardi says he is going to start judging now, which is good news for Ivan Nova.

Though the Boston Red Sox only brought Dustin Pedroia, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jarod Saltalamacchia and Mike Aviles to Tampa, you still couldn't look at Nova's outing as anything but positive. He threw four scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out three.

"Everything was better; especially the fastball control," Nova said comparing it to his first two outings.

Nova continues to have the inside track to be the No. 3 starter.
