The Yankee still plan to have shortstop Derek Jeter back in the lineup for Friday afternoon's home split-squad game against the Minnesota Twins.

Jeter, who has been nursing a sore left calf, was expected to go through a full workout in Tampa on Thursday.

"That’s our plan," said manager Joe Girardi. "We’ll see how he goes through today, and then we’ll make a decision."

As for Swisher, who tweaked his groin playing against the Pirates on Tuesday night, Girardi said the timetable is a little more vague.

"He said he feels pretty decent," Girardi said. "I’ll talk to [trainer] Steve Donohue a lot tomorrow, and see, you know, do we try to put him in before the weekend’s over, or do we wait until next week."
