The Yankees defeated the Tigers 4-2 in 10 innings inLakeland, Fla., on Saturday afternoon, upping their Grapefruit League record to 13-9-1.

With the Yanks leading 2-0 in the bottom of the ninth, D.J. Mitchell blew the save and allowed the Tigers to tie it up, but then got the win after Dewayne Wise doubled home two runs in the top of the 10th.

The Yankees are now 5-0-1 in their past six games, and 8-1-1 since March 15.

The stars of today's game are:

* Freddy Garcia, who started and gave up just one hit in 4 1/3 innings of work.

* Raul Ibanez, who smacked a two-run home run in the seventh inning to break a scoreless tie.

* Dewayne Wise, who had the game-winning hit. The 34-year-old outfielder has played for four other major league teams, most recently with the Blue Jays for 20 games in 2011.
