Michael Pineda got better as the day went along, and now his day is done.

The 23-year-old right-hander went five innings, giving up one run on five hits, with four strikeouts and two walks.

(And for all you radar-obsessed fans, he hit 94 mph a couple of times, according to the YES Network radar gun.)

After a rocky first three innings, Pineda settled down, with a 1-2-3 fourth inning, and a pair of K's in the fifth.

We'll have more on Pineda after the game.
