A couple of new locker assignments in the Yankees clubhouse: as befitting his status as one of the team leaders, both on the field and off, Robinson Cano has been given the locker that used to belong to Jorge Posada. It's a prime location, right next to the door to the off-limits areas of the clubhouse, and right across from Derek Jeter.
On the other hand, CC Sabathia has been given the locker formerly occupied by A.J. Burnett. The Yankees better hope it's not haunted. (Michael Pineda has Sabathia's old locker.)
And new backup catcher Chris Stewart is in the locker that used to belong to his predecessor, Francisco Cervelli.
