Don't adjust your television. The Yankees are actually hitting with runners in scoring position.

After tallying just 16 hits with runners in scoring position through the first eight games, the Yankees have already tallied three tonight and have taken a 5-1 lead after three innings.

Alex Rodriguez picked up his first hit with runners in scoring position on a single that gave the Yankees a 3-1 lead in the third, and Mark Teixeira, 1-for-10 in those spots entering the game, laced a double that boosted the lead to 4-1. Nick Swisher's sacrifice fly made it 5-1.

The Yankees are 3-for-7 with runners in scoring position on the night and are now 19-for-87 (.218) on the season.
