The Daily Cervelli

The Daily Cervelli is a recurring feature of the blog in which we chart the progress of the popular former Yankees backup catcher, Francisco Cervelli, as he attempts to play his way back to the big leagues as a member of the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.

Our man, Frankie, had the day off. He remains at .162 with an RBI in 37 at-bats. D.J. Mitchell threw eight scoreless innings in the 2-0 win over Rochester. Mitchell might have been a victim of bad timing, because if he hadn't started Wednesday maybe he would have been called up instead of Cody Eppley.
