Game 46: Yankees @ Twins

May, 26, 2010
9:41: Nick Swisher crushes a bomb into the right field seats. Yanks take the lead.

9:34: Huge fist pump from Pettitte after he gets Mauer to hit into a 6-4-3 double play. He escapes from two men on and no out and still has the lead.

9:29: They are chanting MVP for Mauer. Men on first and third. One out. This is good stuff.

9:27: The Yankees had the wheel play on. A-Rod charged in hard, trying to catch the ball in the air. Instead, he scooped and booted it. E-5, men on first and third.

9:25: Drew Butera nails a hard liner into right center. A long run by Gardner. The ball went right in the pocket of Gardner's glvoe, but he couldn't hang on.

9:07: Delmon Young slams a run scoring double. Gardner-Cano-Cervelli relay well done, but too late to get Cuddyer at the plate.

8:45: In the sixth, Kevin Russo hits a single as he continues to try to stay on the team. Then Brett Gardner drives him in with a triple into the right field corner.

8:25: Jeter keeps it going with a double into the corner. Teixeira flies out to center. 4-for-his-last-35.

8:20: Pettitte is getting hit very hard here in the fourth. Only hit so far is Cuddyer two-out double off the scoreboard in right.

8:16: Mauer nails a ball to left. Russo makes a catch jumping against the wall.

8:11: Kevin Russo with a run-scoring double. Not good for Randy Winn fans, if there are Randy Winn fans.Tied at one.

8:00: They rule it a base-hit, but Teixeira usually comes up with the hard hit ball from Span that was right at him, though it was a difficult hop.

7:53: Mark Teixeira with a two-out bloop single.

7:41: Russo broke the wrong way on Delmon Young's line drive. You can't be doing that. Man on, out, here in the second.

7:37: The Yankees get two guys on, but Kevin Russo and Brett Gardner strikeout. League is catching up to the Russos and Gardners on the Yanks.

7:21:Twins' baseball on display. Span doubles, steals second, scores on Mauer's single. 1-nil Twinkies.

7:14: Yanks waste a Nick Swisher double in the first.
