In the third inning, Joe Girardi removed Nick Swisher from the game with a tight left hamstring. Swisher left after walking against Max Scherzer. He is going for an MRI.
Originally, Swisher just trotted down to first base before Joe Girardi and trainer Steve Donohue check up on him. At first, he stayed in the game, but a moment later Girardi took Swisher out. Andruw Jones replaced him. Jones played left, while Raul Ibanez moved to right.
Swisher struggled with a groin injury during spring training.

Mo is now 17 for 17 in save opportunities. His best save start was 2008 when he was 28-for-28.

Lots of people want to Blame the Binder for leaving CC in. Fair point. I didn't first guess, but a fair point for those who did.
