In what very likely will be Andy Pettitte's final minor league tuneup before he returns to the Yankees, Pettitte will pitch for Triple-A Scranton in Rochester on Sunday afternoon.

If Pettitte comes through the start fine, he could make his debut the following weekend, as early as Friday, May 11, against the Seattle Mariners.

Yankees GM Brian Cashman first announced when Pettitte would pitch during an interview with Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Ruocco on ESPN New York 98.7 FM.

Scranton's schedule says they are supposed to play in Batavia on Sunday, but the game, according to one baseball official, is in the process of being moved to nearby Rochester. That is not final, but that is what is expected to happen.
