. . . and Mark Teixeira will spank Bruce Chen. Tex hit a two-run homer in the first inning off the Royals starter tonight, raising his career average to .500 (10-for-20) and giving him seven home runs against the 34-year-old lefty. CC Sabathia promptly gave back the two runs in the bottom of the inning on a pair of RBI doubles, but Teixeira came back to single in the fourth to raise his BA vs. Chen to .524. Game tied at 2 in the bottom of the fourth.
