The Nightly Nun-E is a new feature of the blog in which we will track the progress of Eduardo Nunez, the defensively-challenged former Yankees utility infielder who is now the every day shortstop for the AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.

Tonight will be Nun-E's first game for SWB. Demoted on Friday, he had 72 hours to report to AAA and apparently took every last minute of it. He is in the starting lineup, batting leadoff against the Durham Bulls. Another former Yankee, Francisco Cervelli, is also in the lineup, batting seventh, but to follow him you need to check in at The Daily Cervelli.

Nun-E singled in his final at-bat to go 1-for-5 in his debut as SWB falls to Durham, 1-0.
And yes, there was an E -- but not for Nun-E! Brandon Laird the culprit tonight.
Unless, of course, you count him getting caught stealing in the ninth inning of a one run game. D'oh!
