The Yankees' inability to get a timely hit struck again in the second inning tonight when Alex Rodriguez led off against the Reds' Bronson Arroyo with a double to left-center. A-Rod moved to third on Raul Ibanez's ground out to first, but got no further as Nick Swisher struck out on a check swing at an Arroyo slider, and Eric Chavez grounded out to second.

According to the YES Network's Jack Curry, the Yankees are 3 for their last 44 with runners in scoring position.
