The news on Brett Gardner and David Robertson is pretty much the same as it was yesterday. Both made progress today in Tampa, and neither has a set timetable for his return.

Joe Girardi said Gardner took some more dry swings today and will progress to "tee and toss'' tomorrow. Robertson played catch and, Girardi said, "made 50 throws.''

• Both Nick Swisher and Curtis Granderson reported for work today claiming no ill effects from last night's collision in right-center field, and both are in the starting lineup.

• Girardi admitted to getting a chuckle Monday night out of the Angels' rally money, who appeared in a new spoof of "MIB III'' along with his previous starring roles in "Jaws,'' "Psycho'' and "Titanic.''

"I'm not superstitious so I don't turn away from it,'' Girardi said. “I don’t remember who it was, but we used to have a guy who would say, ‘Don’t look at it!’ I thought it was pretty clever last night.''
