Robertson moves closer to D.C. return

David Robertson had a David Robertson-like outing in his second rehab appearance. Starting for Triple-A Scranton on Tuesday afternoon, Robertson threw 14 pitches, nine of which were strikes, in a 1-2-3 inning. He had a strikeout, a flyout and a groundout.
Joe Girardi said on Monday that Robertson could "quite possibly" join the Yankees on Friday in Washington, which makes sense since that was the date the Yankees have been targeting for a while now.
On Thursday, it will be exactly a month that Robertson has been out because of his rib cage strain. When Robertson returns he will be the eighth-inning guy, as Rafael Soriano has swiped the closer role from him.
