ATLANTA -- Fresh off his second rehab appearance on Tuesday in Rochester, David Robertson is scheduled to rejoin the Yankees today in Atlanta, although he will not be activated until Friday's game against the Nationals in Washington.
"He's fine,'' Joe Girardi said. "We just want to make sure he feels OK, and if he is, we'll activate him on Friday.''
Robertson has been on the DL more than three weeks with a strained left oblique. In his absence, Rafael Soriano has assumed the closer's role, saving 10 out of 11 opportunities. Robertson will return to the role of setup man, which he had filled before the season-ending knee injury to Mariano Rivera.

Classic A-Rod would get an inordinate amount of blame because of failure at end of games when he was big reason the moment was possible.

Very A-Rodish game by Carmelo: He was great enough to put himself in position to fail in the fourth.
