WHAT IT MEANS: Make it 10 in a row.

The Yankees’ winning streak reached double digits Monday night, after they beat the Braves 6-2 at Yankee Stadium. It’s their first 10-game winning streak since May 7-17, 2005. All 10 wins have come against teams with winning records -- the first time they’ve accomplished this in franchise history, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

ACE IN THE HOLE: The Yankees went into Monday night’s game with an American League-best 1.97 rotation ERA in June -- no thanks to CC Sabathia. Sabathia’s 3.86 ERA was more than two runs higher than that of any of the team’s other four starters.

The left-hander’s month took a turn for the better, though, as he allowed just two earned runs on seven hits in his 34th career complete game -- and first this season. He walked one and struck out 10. Sabathia is 9-3 this season, 22-8 in his career in interleague play. He has gone at least seven innings in 11 of his 14 starts this season.

MINOR PROBLEM SOLVED: Mike Minor took a no-hitter into the fifth before the Yankees got to him for three runs on three hits in the inning.

Alex Rodriguez broke up Minor’s no-hit bid with a lined single up the middle leading off the frame, advanced to second on a wild pitch and then scored on Russell Martin's double down the left-field line. A-Rod surpassed Mel Ott to move into sole possession of 11th place on baseball’s all-time runs scored list (1,860).

And with the bases loaded and two outs, Derek Jeter grounded a 3-2 four-seam fastball from Minor up the middle for a two-run single, giving the Yankees a 3-2 lead. The Yankees had been hitting .174 with the sacks packed prior to Jeter’s clutch hit.

Mark Teixeira took Minor deep to left for his 12th home run of the year leading off the sixth.

O CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN! In the seventh inning, Jeter took away a hit from Michael Bourn to end the top half of the frame, then socked an RBI single to center in the bottom half. He now has 3,177 hits -- an AL-high 89 of them coming this season.

SO LONG, FAREWELL: Robinson Cano blasted his 13th homer of the year to straightaway center with one out in the eighth.
