Nick Swisher is back in the lineup, having recovered sufficiently from the deep thigh bruise he suffered in Saturday's game in Washington . . . Michael Pineda made a brief appearance in the Yankees clubhouse, having come in from Tampa to be examined by Yankees doctors, and proclaimed his rehab from surgery to repair a torn labrum "going real good.'' Pineda said he probably will not start throwing until September . . . Brett Gardner is around, sporting a bionic-looking steel brace on his injured right arm, designed to keep him from hyperextending his strained elbow. Gardner said he did not know when he would be cleared to hit again.
