WHAT IT MEANS: The "chickens" won’t be doing any complaining Saturday night.

Raul Ibanez and Eric Chavez both blasted home runs during a four-run seventh inning, which propelled the Yankees to a 4-3 comeback victory over the Mets at Citi Field.

The Yankees (42-28) had lost three straight games after winning their previous 10 in a row. They lead the majors with 110 home runs.

RAUL, SO COOL: The Yankees’ offense was dormant -- until Ibanez stepped to the plate in the seventh following Mark Teixeira's leadoff walk and Nick Swisher's double (his 1,000th career hit). Ibanez deposited the first pitch he saw from Chris Young over the right-field wall for his 11th homer of the season to tie the game at 3.

Ibanez had been 12-for-58 with runners in scoring position, and 9-for-34 lifetime against Young with no homers, prior to the at-bat. Young was lifted after the homer.

CHAVY: Two batters later, Chavez went the opposite way for his first career pinch-hit homer, off Jon Rauch, putting the Yankees in front 4-3. Chavez has five homers on the season.

BOONE!: Boone Logan bailed out Ibanez in the eighth. The left fielder failed to make a sliding catch on Jordany Valdespin's double leading off the frame. Valdespin advanced to third on a groundout but was stranded there because Logan came in and struck out Lucas Duda and Daniel Murphy on a combined seven pitches to end the threat.

HOUDINI: David Robertson recorded his first hold since April 30 by doing what he does best: getting himself into trouble, then getting himself out of it. Robertson struck out Scott Hairston, walked Omar Quintanilla and Josh Thole, then struck out Justin Turner and Kirk Nieuwenhuis to end the eighth inning.

THAT GUY: Rafael Soriano closed out the ninth for his 14th save in 15 chances -- his first save since June 17. He allowed a one-out single to David Wright, struck out two and got Murphy to fly out to the warning track in right for the final out. Yankees pitchers had a combined 15 strikeouts.

THE STREAK LIVES: Ibanez took Ivan Nova off the hook. Despite pitching well -- 5.2 IP, 5 H, 3 R (2 ER), 3 BB, 7 SO -- Nova departed trailing 3-0, putting his streak of 15 consecutive road starts without a loss in jeopardy. No longer. The streak stands at 16; Nova has not lost on the road since June 3, 2011 in Los Angeles (AL).

YANK-EE-S: Derek Jeter committed his sixth error of the season on what should’ve been an inning-ending double-play grounder in the second. Then Alex Rodriguez mishandled a routine grounder in the fourth for his fourth error of the year. A-Rod’s error led to Josh Thole's RBI groundout and an unearned run against Nova’s ledger.

WILD THING: Charlie Sheen -- better known to baseball fans as incarcerated flamethrower Ricky Vaughn from the movie "Major League" -- was in attendance and did an inning in the Fox TV booth.

INJURY UPDATE: Russell Martin left the game with a sore back and did not catch the ninth inning.
