David Phelps will likely start Wednesday in Tampa, Joe Girardi said.

"It'll probably be Phelpsie," the Yankees manager said Saturday.

Phelps threw 64 pitches in relief of Adam Warren on Friday, so Girardi expects he'll be on a pitch count of 80-85 on Wednesday.

Phelps, 25, has a 3.16 ERA in 14 appearances (two starts) for the Yankees this season. In 37 innings, he has allowed 35 hits, walked 14 and struck out 34.
